During our April trip to Sona, we finalized the 3 year project, 2 buildings with 4 classrooms for 400 students, a library building, an administration building and 2 blocks of toilets. Work will start in October for the pleasure of the community, but even more for the children of the village!
Registration with the CSA (Charities and Societies Agency) in Ethiopia is in progress.

Method of constructionSona's school will be built in an environmentally friendly way, following the example of the Ambaras school we visited. The bricks are produced locally, which minimizes the transportation of building materials. The ecological impact is reduced by giving work to the local community.
